 This was my final project for Peter Claes’s Houdini 4 class. With this project i was really trying to push my Houdini knowledge with something a little different from a typical visual effect. All the textures, patterns and animation where procedurally built inside Houdini. I used a RBD sim with a point deformer to drive the main animation. Then I used a combination of displacement based on stretching polygons and blend shapes to get the curl on the edge. Big thanks to Peter for showing me how powerful Houdini can be whit the right knowledge.
